It's the thought that counts...

Cara and I tried to make an "end-of-the-year, you-are-great, thanks-for-all-your-love" gift for her teacher.

This is what it was supposed to look like (and it was pretty close):

After two days of planning, baking, freezing, and dipping we finished them last night. This is what it looked like when we woke up this morning:

I thought they'd be really cute in a flower pot with the green foam covered in bright paper crinkles, and they were - last night... I'm relieved they fell apart at my house instead of on her desk today although I'm sure it would have been a funny sight to see.

I guess those little suckers were pretty heavy...

Plan B is to put a nice plant in the flower pot now and give that to her tomorrow.

Between the cost of supplies for the cupcake pops and now the future plant, I should've just gotten her a giftcard to her favorite store or something...
Here are directions to make cupcake pops if you get the itch! There's even a video tutorial.

I can't decide what makes me more envious - that you're the kind of mom that makes that kind of stuff with their kids to give the teacher as a gift or that you're actually close to being done with school.

I hope you at least at the doomed "cupcake pops". I saw those on Martha Stewart's show and thought they looked yum. Who wouldn't love a bite sized cupcake! BTW, you never answered the tag I gave you . . .

I meant ate the pops, not at the pops. Oops!

Yes, her last day is Thursday and they've rented a 21-foot tall waterslide for the kids... Sounds fun, huh?
BTW~ I'm working on that tag... it's harder than I thought it would be!
